Our Teachers

Before moving to Mexico to teach English, Donna owned and operated a successful small marketing agency. As the principal, she was responsible for all aspects of the business and served as the agency’s primary copywriter and marketing strategist.

Donna has a BA in English literature with a minor in Philosophy. She has excellent critical thinking, writing, speaking and management skills.

Lyn has a Ph.D. in mathematics and has worked as a college professor as well as in the finance industry performing predictive modeling using the most advanced statistical methods.

Lyn understands the ins and outs of the corporate world as well as being an excellent teacher and communicator.

Lyn and Donna are both experienced, certified ESL/EFL teachers and native English speakers.

General English

In our global society, English has become the universal language. Whether you need to learn English to communicate with co-workers and colleagues or simply want to learn it for travel and enjoyment, we can give you the skills you need to reach your goal. Our teaching strategies follow the Common European Framework (CEFR) for teaching and learning languages. General English courses cover the lexis you need for day-to-day life, travel and basic business communications. Levels A1 (basic) to C2 (proficient) are offered. Pricing is available on request.

Business English

As companies continue to expand overseas, English has become the primary language for communication. Whether your company is based in England, Germany or Japan, English is the common tongue for conducting business. Business English classes are structured to provide the basic tools for speaking, listening and writing in an online world. In addition, you will learn business idioms, colloquialisms and jargon related directly to your business role. Pricing is available on request.

Writing in English

Our most popular class! Learn to write in a variety of forms — from letters to the editor and op-eds to reports and essays! Improve your grammar and style by reading and writing guided and instructed by a professional writer with more than 20 years of experience. NOTE: This course is restricted to C1+ level speakers.
