Oh me, oh my, when will it ever end? It is now mid-December. We have lived in our house since September. And yet, we still don’t have the closing documents. The delays are interminable, and I am running out of patience. “But you are in the house,” you say, so what’s the biggie? Well, youContinue reading “The frustration continues…”

The House!
We’ve moved in! Here are some pics for you! As you can see, we’ve all adjusted, even Buster, our newest addition! He’s happy to finally be an “indoor” cat!
E-gads! It’s the end of October!
Don’t hate me (yet)! I really haven’t forgotten about all of you! As you likely know, we moved into our new house on Sept. 1. Very exciting! So far we are loving it, although we have experienced some minor inconveniences and misunderstandings. Fortunately, there were easy fixes. I’ve posted some photos of the house forContinue reading “E-gads! It’s the end of October!”
Welcome 2022
So glad to see 2021 bite the dust. Welcome 2022!
Another year bites the dust.
Feature Photo: September Girls Trip to Cancun (more info below). I can’t believe it is mid-December 2021. Does anyone else feel like they’re stuck a dystopian novel? I know I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating. The last two years have both dragged by and flown by. We’ve been in Merida now for 11Continue reading “Another year bites the dust.”
August already?
How is it that we’ve been here since February and I still feel so, well, unsettled? Soon, Donna, paciencia amiga. January (and your new HOME) will be here before you know it! We’ve been in the “newest” house for two months now. It’s fine. Modern, spacious, great pool, close to everything, but we’re still notContinue reading “August already?”
Changes
I’m pretty sure I have an older post with a similar name. I guess it’s because we just keep moving, moving, MOVING! Once again we are headed into another house. This time, we are signing a lease for a year, although we will probably only be there 7-8 months. The good news is that weContinue reading “Changes”
Life’s a beach!
“Can you send somebody now? Please?” I implored the woman on the phone frantically from my car parked in front of our next Airbnb, my voice an octave higher than normal. “Donna. Take it down a notch. She’s only trying to help,” Lyn, who was sitting beside me, chimed in. “Don’t tell me how toContinue reading “Life’s a beach!”
Adventures in a new land.
Since I wrote last, a lot has happened (or not, depending on your point of view). First, we successfully navigated the passport renewal process and received our new 10-year passports within two weeks! Amazing! We immediately forwarded them on to the realtors in order to complete the purchase of our home. That was last week.Continue reading “Adventures in a new land.”
After Arrival
In my last post, I described the arduous drive from Querétaro to Merida. Here’s what has been happening since. Our Airbnb We booked a cute little Airbnb for a month, figuring that we would need at least that long to conclude the purchase of our home and get some initial repairs done. It is aContinue reading “After Arrival”
